The University Academic Committee oversees academic initiatives, degree awards, curriculum, faculty and student development, grievance handling, and facilitates collaboration for effective academic governance.

Decision-Making & Voting Right
The committee adopts a collaborative decision-making approach. Every member has voting rights including students. A simple majority, defined as more than 50%, is necessary for the approval of any given decision.
Responsibilities
Review and approve proposals for new academic initiatives, such as new programs or interdisciplinary collaborations.
Make recommendations to the University Council for the award of degrees to the university graduates.
Approve with or without modifications the recommendations of the College Council regarding the curriculum, schemes of assessments, and examination regulations.
Collaborate with college councils to ensure alignment and consistency of academic standards and practices.
Oversee and support faculty and student development through workshops, training programs, and academic support services.
Address academic grievances and concerns raised by students, faculty, or other stakeholders.
Coordinate with other university committees and administrative departments to facilitate effective academic governance and decision-making.
