The purpose of this committee is to engage in practices that focus on mission-driven, ongoing, systematic recruitment and retention of a diverse and inclusive workforce of interns, faculty members, senior administrative staff members, and other relevant members of its academic community.

The committee adopts a collaborative decision-making approach. Every member has voting rights including students. A simple majority, defined as more than 50%, is necessary for the approval of any given decision.
Responsibilities
The internship program recruitment committee shall:
Clearly define the committee's responsibilities in overseeing the recruitment process for the Dental Internship Program, including but not limited to interns, faculty members, and senior administrative staff.
Ensure that all recruitment activities align with the mission and values of the Dental Internship Program and the national regulating bodies, emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and guidelines governing the recruitment process within the institution.
Conduct regular assessments to identify the current and future staffing needs of the Dental Internship Program, considering factors such as program growth, faculty retirements, and emerging trends in dental education.
Regularly review the criteria used for selecting interns, faculty members, and senior administrative staff, ensuring they align with program goals, values, and accreditation standards.
Establish a transparent and standardized process for evaluating candidates, including interview protocols, assessment tools, and methods for ensuring fairness in the selection process.
Develop a timeline for the recruitment cycle, outlining key milestones and deadlines to ensure a timely and efficient process.
Implement a feedback mechanism for candidates who participate in the recruitment process, allowing for continuous improvement and addressing concerns related to transparency and fairness.
Develop a comprehensive communication strategy to keep all stakeholders informed about the progress of the recruitment process, including internal updates, announcements, and relevant timelines.
Regularly review and update the recruitment process based on feedback, changing needs, and best practices in dental education and workforce development.
Emphasize the importance of confidentiality and ethical conduct throughout the recruitment process.
