Responsibilities
Classroom Support:
Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, including handouts, presentations, and multimedia resources.
Set up and maintain equipment for lectures, demonstrations, or experiments.
Provide support during class sessions, helping to manage student behavior and engagement.
Student Interaction:
Offer assistance to students during class, lab sessions, or office hours.
Address student inquiries and provide clarification on course content.
Provide feedback on assignments and assist with grading under the direction of the lead instructor.
Office Hours and Tutoring:
Conduct scheduled office hours to provide additional support and guidance to students.
Offer one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to reinforce learning objectives.
Administrative Tasks:
Assist in record-keeping, such as maintaining attendance records and grading assignments.
Help organize and coordinate class-related activities, field trips, or guest lectures.
Communication:
Facilitate communication between students and the lead instructor.
Contribute to communication channels, such as course websites or online platforms.
Laboratory Assistance:
Assist in the setup and supervision of laboratory sessions, if applicable.
Provide guidance on experimental procedures and ensure a safe and efficient learning environment.
Assessment Support:
Assist in the development and administration of exams, quizzes, and assessments.
Participate in the grading process, providing feedback to students.
Technology Integration:
Support the use of technology in the classroom, including online learning platforms, multimedia presentations, and educational software.
Professional Development:
Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field.
