Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for interprofessional education initiatives that align with organizational goals and enhance collaborative practice in healthcare settings.
Research Oversight: Lead research efforts focused on interprofessional education, including designing studies, securing funding, conducting analyses, and disseminating findings through publications and presentations.
Program Development: Design, implement, and evaluate interprofessional education programs for students, faculty, and healthcare professionals across various disciplines, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and best practices.
Collaboration Facilitation: Foster partnerships and collaborations with academic departments, healthcare institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote interprofessional learning and practice.
Curriculum Design: Collaborate with educators to integrate interprofessional education into existing curricula, develop new courses/modules, and assess student competencies in teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
Faculty Development: Provide training, resources, and support for faculty members involved in interprofessional education, including workshops, mentoring, and recognition of excellence in teaching.
Student Engagement: Engage students in interprofessional learning experiences, such as simulations, case studies, and team-based projects, to enhance their understanding of collaborative practice and improve patient outcomes.
Assessment and Evaluation: Establish metrics and assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of interprofessional education initiatives, collect feedback from stakeholders, and make data-driven improvements.
Advocacy and Outreach: Advocate for the importance of interprofessional education and collaborative practice within the institution, professional organizations, and broader healthcare community through presentations, conferences, and networking.
Policy Development: Stay abreast of policies, regulations, and guidelines related to interprofessional education and collaborative practice, and contribute to policy development at the institutional and governmental levels.
