• Coordination and implementation of the clerkship component of the curriculum in their discipline
• Be responsible for the allotted group for the teaching / learning sessions including maintenance of attendance; make alternative arrangements in case of non-availability
• Facilitate small group activities and arrange clinical skills sessions as an when needed
• Coordinate with subject experts to derive learning objectives for lesson planning and develop case-based scenarios
• Prepare lesson plans for each session under the direction of respective subject experts
• Demonstrate professionalism at all times and be a role model for the students.
• Oversee group activities regarding areas and quantum of learning as well as the group process
• Serve as a standardized patient for specified stations (eg. history taking)
• Review students case studies before submission to supervisors
• Help Phase Coordinators to organize and conduct OSCE
• Any other assignments as given by Phase Coordinators and Associate Dean
• Supervise the clinical methodologies used for instruction by clinical instructors in the respective training sites.
• Orient the student to the location of the clinical site, the institutional policies and procedures and the details of the clinical rotation.
• Work with the student on mutually agreed upon goals, objectives and expectations at the beginning and throughout the learning experience.
• Liaise with Supervisors at one’s own clinical sites regarding student postings.
• Monitor quantity and quality of educational opportunities received by students through informal feedback and logbooks.
• Make recommendations for improvement of the clinical training.
