Responsibilities
Instruction and Demonstration:
Conduct practical demonstrations on various dental laboratory techniques, including the creation of crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances.
Instruct students in proper material selection, casting, and finishing techniques.
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the development and updating of the dental technology curriculum.
Integrate advancements in dental technology and industry best practices into the teaching materials.
Laboratory Supervision:
Oversee and supervise students in the dental laboratory.
Provide guidance on equipment usage, safety protocols, and proper laboratory procedures.
Individual and Group Instruction:
Provide individualized instruction to students based on their skill levels and learning needs.
Facilitate group exercises and collaborative projects to enhance teamwork.
Clinical Experience:
Coordinate and oversee clinical experiences, ensuring that students gain practical, real-world exposure to dental technology.
Monitor and evaluate students' performance in clinical settings.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students' knowledge and practical skills.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
Professional Development:
Stay abreast of advancements in dental technology through ongoing professional development.
Participate in relevant workshops, conferences, and industry events.
Equipment and Materials Management:
Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of dental laboratory equipment and materials.
