Responsibilities
  • Protect company property and staff by maintaining safe and secure environment 

  • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbance.

  • Act lawfully in defense of life or property • Apprehend criminals and evict violators

  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and report immediately

  • Act promptly in case of fire or any other emergencies as per the standard operating procedures. • Report in detail any suspicious incidents

  • Patrol randomly or regularly the building and perimeter / the assigned work area to identify any negligence or fraud.

  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates

  • Responsible to act immediately to all the University’s Codes as and when it is announced and carries out the assigned role as per protocol.

  • Reporting medico legal cases/ death of a medico legal case / any offence created within the University premises to the local police without delay and by maintaining proper documents of the same as and when required.

  • In case of death, ensure that the body is shifted to mortuary by detaining one supervisor especially till the body is handed over to the attendants.

  • Report all the relevant matters to the concerned person and the management if required

  • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate the equipment as per the standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure proper handover takeover of the day incidents

  • Ensure about the visitor’s movement and see that unauthorized person movement is restricted during non-visiting hours.

  • Ensure that the patients and the attendants are aware of the rules and regulations of the University

  • Maintaining keys of all the departments and ensure that the same to be issued to authorized person in liaison with HOD’s.

  • Identification of theft prone and fire prone areas and takes preventive actions.

  • Also carries out enquiries and necessary actions for such untoward incidents.

  • Always be prepared with action plan, to face any eventuality.

  • Carries out any other task as and when assigned.
